FALL 2021 | PLAYSCAPe concept & branding
Between balancing schedules, financing school and childcare, arranging playdates, attending after-school activities, providing transportation, and ensuring your child’s general health and safety, co-parenting can be an endlessly stressful responsibility. The demanding nature of raising children often begins to negatively impact parents’ relationships with one another - often to their child’s detriment. This program aims to help separated parents navigate the co-parenting relationship. The interpersonal relationship and the support separated parents show for each other throughout their child’s youth will ultimately go on to impact their development. Playscape aims to mitigate the potential for misunderstanding and conflict by helping parents focus on the shared interest of providing a nurturing and stable environment for their child/children.
Playscape’s on-site location offers in-person co-parent counseling. In the first half of the session, children enjoy on-site care while parents meet with a counselor who ensures each party can provide a nurturing and stable environment for their children. In the second half of the session, children are incorporated through play-centered activities that challenge the group to work as a team to complete tasks and solve problems, encouraging parents to come together and help little ones excel in their education.
This is an ongoing project.
